Birthday Celebration!

Well it’s not everyday your one and only baby turns 13! We officially have a teenager! Where does time go?Β

Sooooo the cake!!! Well, I’ve never used fondant! (I love buttercream) and I decided that I’m making my own fondant, and it’s going to look just like a picture on Pinterest!
Well let’s just say, I’ve learned a few things about fondant!
#1 I completely understand why people want $100 for a cake like this! I mean wow! I think people deserveΒ  $500 a cake! I am definitely not finished fighting with fondant! I could see myself developing a relationship on a much smaller scale………cookies and cupcakes!!! I had a blast with the flower fondant tools I got!
#2 NO amount of You Tube videos can truly prepare you for your first experience with fondant! Don’t get me wrong, EVERY single video I watched was extremely helpful to me!! Things just don’t seem to flow as smooth in real life πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
#3 Use flower not 10x sugar when rolling out fondant!! It just got stickier and stickier πŸ˜‚πŸ€”

The feeling of accomplishment and honestly pride in myself at the end was worth the headache! Ash was beyond ecstatic! And it tasted delicious!

We went with a western theme!! So yet again pinterest came to my rescue!
Everything was far from professional, but oh so much fun!
Hahaha………i need an assistant to spell check me……pinterest has not made me feel like a super model yetπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Was supposed to be Supermom!

We had a photo booth, which of course I forgot to get pictures of!!

Doug turned 33 on Monday πŸ™‚ We had a big birthday weekend!

Now I’m back to slinging bling!

See ya round the next corner,

Mrs Razzle Dazzle
